What is Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus?

Cyber Essentials is a cost-effective, UK government backed IT Security assurance scheme for small and medium sized businesses. It shows customers and stakeholders that the organisation has considered its cybersecurity controls.

Cyber Essentials Plus includes a vulnerability scan to test the security controls put in place work effectively. This is done by scanning the infrastructure to find any issues.

Why is it important?

Having the Cyber Essentials certification gives you assurance that your security will protect against most common cyber-attacks. Many government organisations are using it as a baseline if you wish to do business with them.
